*sigh...No snow. And Summer is still here, stronger than ever. Nap time again. I hope I don't get muscle atrophy.
I am aware of fried green tomatoes, but is there such a thing as fried black and white malamute? If not, there might be if this heat doesn't end soon. I'm just sayin'...

yes, the heat is really terrible here in Italy too. I do nothing all day, and like you, I try to stay cool on the floor!

PS Gail says she now knows how all her North American friends are feeling, courtesy of Air Canada, as a 'technical hitch' meant she came back from Newfoundland via Toronto yesterday, where it was 95ºF yesterday afternoon.
