Since I'm Gone

Since I’m gone, the nights are gettin' strange since I’m gone. Well, nothing's makin' sense since I’m gone. And the moonlight ain't so great since I’m gone. But now I am back! Albeit just for a little while. We have to move. Soon. I know I have woofed about us moving before, pawing how K was looking for a house with a fenced yard in a State that we could both enjoy. But, as usual, K procrastinated and now she is under a lot of pressure and time is quickly running out. So, K has been spending a lot of time looking for work and for a place to move, and as much as I have been woofing at her to let me blog, because I miss all of my blogging friends so very much, she just does not have the time to give up the computer for me to blog. She said the next month or two will be very difficult and I won’t be able to blog hardly at all, but once we move and get settled then I can go back to my blogging schedule. So, I hope my blogging friends understand. I miss woofing and barking and howling with all of you, and I especially miss reading about all of your adventures, but I guess sometimes life just takes a turn that we don’t anticipate and you have to adjust. Sometimes it is a nerve-racking adjustment, such as what K is experiencing now, and sometimes it is a terrific adjustment, like what I am experiencing today. You see, it seems like just yesterday that it was sunny and in the 60s and I was playing in the mud puddles. Oh wait, that was yesterday! And now today I have beautiful, lovely, gorgeous snow!! I think God loves me! It was awfully warm during my walk yesterday, and I was daydreaming about the cold Winter days gone by. Then today I am blessed to be jumping and running and rolling in the cold wonderful fluffy white stuff. And on the day of Spring Equinox! How cool is that?! So, as K once shared with me, be like water when navigating through the twists and turns of life. As the great Martial Art Master Bruce Lee once said,

"Be like water making its way through cracks. Do not be assertive, but adjust to the object, and you shall find a way round or through it. If nothing within you stays rigid, outward things will disclose themselves. Empty your mind, be formless. Shapeless, like water. If you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup. You put water into a bottle and it becomes the bottle. You put it in a teapot it becomes the teapot. Now, water can flow or it can crash. Be water my friend."

If a boulder is blocking your path in life then flow around it, like water in a rocky stream. Don’t fight against it. Be soft, yet strong. Be persistent. Be patient. Or, as I like to think, be like snow. Be fluffy, soft, and your own unique flake. Fall lightly and land delicately. Cover the boulder, don’t let it cover you. Mostly, be flexible, because sometimes life is a rock, so don’t let it rollover you. And at end of your rainbow, you may find your dreams come true. Or a huge meaty bone. Which you would then give to me. I’m just sayin’…

Suka and family,

We wish you a clear path to your next destination... I like your analogy. Be like water, and follow the path as it opens in front of you.

We'll all miss you but look forward to your return!

Oh Suka, I am sad and excited for all of you at the same time. We miss you, but from these trying times can come the greatest of adventures. I suspect you are about to set out on one, and I know we will all be thrilled to find out where you land.

Be well...

Dear friend, not having the comfort of your blogs to cheer me and give perspective will be hard but then I stop and listen to the wind in the newly budding trees and chirping momma birds as they build nests and the snoring of my brother, Quinn:)) and I can hear your gentle words and feel your love...I hope you can feel me alongside you on this journey as well. We wish you safety, happiness, and good fortune and will try to wait patiently for your triumphant return with wonderful stories. Without saying, Suka and K, know we are here and want to do anything we can to make the river flow smoothly (even water prefers the course of least resistance). Do not hesitate to ask for even the most outrageous need. Stop by when you can or email us...but most importantly be together and be at peace. Always.

I love mud puddles and miss them. We don't get them here in Vegas. Let K take her time finding a job and a good home for you. You will be so happy in the end.

Where is K looking into-hints?

Suka,

I know you're busy with the move now but I wanted to let you know I'm interviewing my vet this week about her experiences as a vet for the recent Iditarod. If you have any questions, serious or funny, that you'd like me to ask her, please email them to me at pedrovotes@aol.com. Hope to hear from you!!
