Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving to all!

I know it is a tough and difficult time for many animals and humans now all over the World, and it makes me very sad. My Thanksgiving wish is that goodness, love, happiness, kindness, and peace will reign throughout the World and make it a better place for all. Let every human and animal have joy in their hearts and smiles on their faces, and delicious food to fill their tummies!

I am a very fortunate pup in that I have many things in my life to be thankful for, such as: I am thankful that I have a nice place to live, although I can't wait to move to where I have a fenced yard instead of this mean ol' chain; I am thankful that I have food and treats to eat every day (O.K., maybe I don't get treats every day but I would certainly give thanks every day if I did!); I am thankful for the long walks I take every evening with Silvius and my human, K; I am thankful that my parrot, Porgy, watches out for me (and don't worry, Porgy, we won't eat you!); I am thankful that I have made many tremendous friends - animal and human - through blogging; and I am very thankful for my amazing Pack - K, Silvius, and Porgy, whom I love very much!

What am I not thankful for? The fact that K is a vegetarian. I never get any leftover meat or poultry because of her bizarre eating requirements. How can a dog owner not eat meat?! That doesn't make sense! So, any leftover turkey, duck, ham, meat, bones, etc. that you have should be sent to me pronto! Help feed meat to a vittles-neglected dog of a vegetarian owner. I'm just sayin'...

What a beautiful sentiment for this holiday! We are SO thankful for you and your posts and all the wisdom you share. You know, I was checking it out yesterday at the Bosque, those sand hill cranes are a pretty decent size...wonder if they should still be served with cranberry sauce or just the meat? Just fantasizing...

Sorry you don't get too many meat treats! Hoping that Santa Paws gets you a few bones for your stocking ;) Happy Belated Thanksgiving :)

Very nice post for Thanksgiving. Just tell K to go buy you a bone from the butcher block that's just especially for dogs.

I'm thankful for a lot as well. It's to bad we humans don't reflect on that everyday.

Happy Holidays!

Hey Suka! I totally agree that we do have plenty to be thankful for. In fact, my mommy say, we should be thankful everyday because we get another day to become better as doggies/humans =D

Love ya,
Jon Terry

Thinking of you, my friend! Just wanted to say "hi" and to let you know that we have a really huge and comfy guest pup house on the deck now (hint! hint). Momma asks that you tell K that she is trying to finish an email to her to catch up but that life keeps getting in the way. Soon, she promises. Hope you all are well.

Woof Suka,

This is Norman and Keiko from Life Inside the Fence. We wanted to let you know that we lost Toby, (AKA Meatloaf) on December 6th to bladder cancer. It was all very sudden, no one, not even Mom or the Doggie Doctor knew he was sick. He was such a couragous pup and never let on that something was wrong, not until the last moment. We had already lost Scuba this year and now Toby, so it's been hard on all of us. We want to let you know because you were such a good friend.

Take care,
Norman and Keiko
